Paul Smith

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Paul Smit's avatarPaul Smith was invited to come on Rennessence, but has declined to participate in an interview. The local government employee from Burton-on-Trent, has been one of the most vociferous critics in the Rennes-le-Château debate for many years. He believes Abbé Saunière was a monarchist who made his entire fortune by selling masses. Smith is notorious for his fierce and personal attacks on everyone who thinks or demonstrates otherwise.

We regret that he chose not to respond but to publish our request on his internet forum which is closed for any public response and on which probably all members are in fact aliases of himself. At present there is no possibility to register or to post. We have saved a snapshot of Paul’s forum topic here. In characteristic wording, he wrote that an interview would be ‘chancy’ and expressed the fear we would edit his responses.

Paul Smith's Forum on 28th August 2007We regret Paul didn’t discuss his concerns with us instead as we would have explained to him that we don’t manipulate the content of our interviews and take pride in displaying all sides of the story. We would have valued hearing his opinions in an open debate. We invite everyone to try to subscribe to Paul’s forum to start an honest discussion.

Bruce Burgess

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

Bruce BurgessAmerican film director Bruce Burgess made his name when he flew into America’s top secret research facility, Area 51 more than a decade ago. His light aircraft was escorted out of the base that did not officially exist by two F-16s.

In 2004, Bruce shifted focus to Rennes-le-Chateau. As soon as he set foot in the village and announced his documentary Bloodline, he became the mystery’s most wanted man. Together with producer René Barnett, the pair of documentary film makers has worked on the project for more than three years. Their voyage has taken them to mysterious meetings with alleged members of the Priory of Sion and deep into the secret of Rennes-le-Château. The documentary which will be released before the end of this year, centers around Ben Hammott’s much published discovery of a tomb near Rennes-le-Château. René BarnettThe tomb we are led to believe may contain none other than Mary Magdalene.

As Bluebook films, Bruce and co-producer René Barnett (photo) are not newcomers to the field: in 2003, they made “In Search of the Holy Grail” and in 2004, “The Ark of the Covenant Revealed”. For the latter, the team rebuilt the Ark of the Covenant and queried whether it was a 3000 year old battery.
